Stay at Matilda's
Maison Matilda is a typical French Maison de Maître in the medieval town of Caunes-Minervois.
A wide corridor leads you from the front door past La Boutique and the reading room to the large open kitchen. From here you enter the courtyard garden with the ornate tiled fountain offering places to relax, read, work or gather for meals. With about 300 days of sunshine a lot happens outside!
Three spacious bedrooms on the first floor share a large bathroom with bath and shower plus a shower room on the second floor. Matilda also has a ''secret room'' for relaxation, contemplation, and yoga.
On the top floor is a 50 square metre light filled studio with tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, WC and three smaller rooms for dressmaking, cutting, storage and other crafts.

The Atmosphere
Maison Matilda is all about the atmosphere, a place to rest as well as a place for conviviality and inspiring conversations with likeminded people. Every room is spacious and you can feel yourself relax and your mind expand.
The Studio
In the studio on the top floor you will find several sewing machines, knitting machines, rigid heddle looms, materials for all sort of creative pursuits and a lot of wool! Big tables and workstations for sitting down and standing up invite you to work on your chosen project. I will always be ready to help, guide, and inspire.

Maison Matilda ist, wie man in Köln sagen würde, „en Jeföhl“. Das Haus strahlt Ruhe und Größe aus, wie es sich für ein Französisches Maison de Maître gehört. Das Haus des ehemaligen Doktors und Bürgermeisters liegt am Rande des Mittelalterlichen Dorfkerns von Caunes-Minervois und jedes Zimmer ist geräumig und bietet Platz zum entspannen und aufatmen. Hier kann sich Kreativität entfalten.

Im Studio in der 2. Etage befindet sich alles was dein Herz begehrt: Näh-und Strickmaschinen, mehrere Webrahmen, Stoffe, Materialien aller Art und natürlich Wolle! Große Tische zum Sitzen und Stehen bieten Platz zum Arbeiten und ich steh natürlich für alle Fragen immer zur Verfügung!

A week (7 nights) at Maison Matilda costs 650 Euros per person.
Shorter stays (minimum 4 nights) can be booked for 95 Euros/night. Included is a daily breakfast and light lunch, drinks (water, tea, coffee, soft drinks) as well as a glass of wine. During your stay I will be here to help, guide, inspire, shop, cook, do the washing and of course open the wine… Bed linen, towels and essentials like soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioners are available.

- At the time of booking a deposit of 200 Euros is required, with the remainder being due 4 weeks before arrival.
I will send payment links at the appropriate times to remind you. - Cancellations
- More than four weeks prior to arrival: your payment will be refunded less a 50 Euro booking fee.
- Less than four weeks prior to arrival: any payments made will be refunded less the 200 Euros deposit. - Not included are your travel arrangements, transfers, travel insurance, tourist tax and dinners.
- Please note that Maison Matilda is not liable for the loss or breakage of items brought by you.
- Structured tuition days can be arranged and will be charged extra. Some materials might have to be paid for.

Eine Woche (7 Nächte) im Maison Matilda kosten 650 Euro, kürzere Aufenthalte (4 Nächge minimum) können für 95€/Nacht gebucht werden. Im Preis enthalten sind täglich Frühstück, ein leichtes Mittagessen sowie Tee, Kaffee, Softdrinks und ein Glas Wein. Ebenfalls enthalten sind Bettwäsche, Handtücher und alle Badezimmer sind mit Seife, Duschgel, Shampoo und Conditioner ausgestattet.
Während deines Aufenthaltes stehe ich dir jederzeit zur Verfügung: ich helfe, gebe Tips, kaufe ein, koche, mach die Wäsche und natürlich weiß ich wo der Korkenzieher zu finden ist…

- Bei Buchung wird eine Anzahlung von 200 Euro fällig, der Rest muss 4 Wochen vor Anreise bezahlt werden.

- bis 4 Wochen vor Anreise (wenn du an einem Dienstag anreist, spätestens am Montag 4 Wochen vorher) erstatte ich deine Anzahlung abzüglich 50 Euro Gebühreninnerhalb der letzten 4 Wochen vor Anreise wird die geleistete Anzahlung - in Höhe von 200 Euro einbehalten, etwaige weitere bereits erfolgte Zahlungen werden erstattet. - Nicht im Preis enthalten sind eure Anreise, Transfers, Reiserücktritts- und andere Reiseversicherungen, tax de séjour sowie Abendessen.
- Bitte habt Verständnis dafür das ich keine Verantwortung für Schäden oder Verluste eurer mitgebrachten Gegenstände übernehmen kann.
- Solltet ihr einen strukturierten Workshop bevorzugen so ist dieser separat zu bezahlen und auch einige Materialen sind nicht im Preis enthalten.
